X-ray and Ultrasound

Non-invasive diagnostic tools used to identify internal issues and provide targeted medical care.

At Torbay Road Animal Hospital, we have an x-ray machine that aids us in caring for your dog. Our equipment ensures that your dog will have minimal radiation exposure and provides a clear image and aids our veterinarians in diagnosing any issues with your dog! It also allows us to email the images to any referral center!

How do you use x-ray and radiology services at your clinic?

Radiographs are a key aspect in diagnosing several medical conditions and diseases, including; heart disease, liver and spleen enlargement and masses, gastrointestinal blockages (foreign bodies), etc.

How should I prepare my dog for their x-ray appointment?

Most animals do not need any preparation for x-rays. However, sometimes depending on the animal, a sedative may be needed. Please ask your veterinarian if there is anything you can do to make the process easier for your dog!
